OncoHealth is a protein biomarker diagnostics company dedicated to revolutionizing screening and diagnostics of cervical cancer and other HPV-associated cancers. Our technology platform includes proprietary biomarkers and robust detection technology that enables the development of easy, high-throughput, and cost competitive assays. This same testing platform can be expanded to other HPV-associated cancers, including anal, oral, head and neck, laryngeal, vulva, penile, and vaginal.

By identifying the true disease stage, OncoHealth has the potential to revolutionize cervical cancer screening and diagnostics. Unlike existing molecular diagnostic tests and the Pap test, OncoHealth’s testing technology is designed to differentiate stages of cancer progression. Without invasive procedures, OncoHealth provides better specificity to identify precancerous cells and enables clinicians to triage HPV-infected patients for the most effective treatments. The test can be further automated using existing ELISA systems.

OncoHealth combines protein biomarker diagnostics with high-throughput whole cell ELISA. Using a simple, and robust ELISA-based platform, our proprietary diagnostic method provides a system approach to analyze specific detection of HPV E6 and E7 oncoproteins in cervical cells from liquid-based cytology samples. OncoHealth’s test also will enable the first effective cervical cancer testing in women younger than age 30.

In more than 1,400 clinical samples, OncoHealth has demonstrated superior proof of performance with its biomarkers and prototype diagnostic test. Currently, OncoHealth is in the midst of a major collaboration study to compare OncoHealth tests with existing commercial assays. The study is expected to complete in mid 2011.
